Joyful in Hope, Patient in Affliction, Faithful in Prayer.

After the loss in the SEC tournament, the LORD put this message on my heart. I sent this text out to our travel party (coaches, players, staff), the next day.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer— Romans 12:12

Let’s break this down…

“Joyful in hope” – I had a friend say his favorite verse was “It came to pass” because when he had trouble or problems, he knew that they had to pass. Those problems didn’t come to stay. He was looking toward a new day and that is what Paul has in mind when he says, 'rejoicing in hope.”

A new opportunity is coming next week (NCAA Tournament)! Don’t lose hope rather, rejoice!

"Patient in affliction” Trials WILL come. Scripture encourages us to “keep on keeping on.” Don’t give up.

"Faithful in prayer” DON’T forget this one! Prayer is our greatest resource whenever we feel stress and strain. Jesus prayed all throughout Scripture. What can you pray about? What teammate/coach are you praying for? Be faithful in communicating with our LORD.

Be encouraged this morning.
